smoothies

As part of our Design & Technology lesson, Robin Class made fruit smoothies. We tasted shop bought smoothies to see which ones we liked then decided what to make. Our flavours were banana and strawberry and grape, pear and blueberry. They were yummy!

toys

In our History topic we have been learning about toys and what our parents and grandparents used to play with when they were young.

Exercise

Robins have been learning about the effects of exercise on the body and how to record this knowledge.

healthy eating

In Science we have been learning about healthy eating and the importance of a healthy diet. We worked in groups to match the food to their groups.

our summer highlights

counting

We created a book to represent numbers 1 – 10, looking at both the words and the numbers.

kenyan sunsets

We enjoyed learning all about Kenya and were inspired by the amazing colours of an African sunset.

primary colours

We experimented with primary colours, using different tools to paint with, creating a wide range of effects.

The Victorians

As part of our topic, the Victorians, we spent a whole day experiencing what school was like for Victorian children and we experienced a Victorian Christmas.

pirate day

We had an amazing Pirate Day where we made our own pirate ship and sailed the seven seas. We even walked the plank and got chased by a crocodile! We drank grog, played pirate puzzles, made telescopes, listened to stories from a mermaid and went on a treasure hunt. It was a fabulous but tiring day!

skipton castle

We had a very informative trip to Skipton Castle where we learned all about the history of the building. This was extremely useful for our ‘Castles’ topic!
