Building Learning Power

What is BLP and why are we doing it?

Building Learning Power (BLP) is about helping our children to become

  • Resilient
  • Resourceful
  • Reflective
  • Reciprocal

On Wednesday 25th November, we held a parent workshop at school, exploring the ideas behind and BLP. Parents and staff tried to strengthen their learning muscles by taking part in variety of activities.

Parent Questionnaire

Mrs Whitaker is conducting some research into the effectiveness of Building Learning Power, on the children’s learning behaviours. We would really appreciate your help with this, and would be grateful if you could complete the online, anonymous survey using the link below.

This second survey will allow us to assess the impact of Building Learning Power, one year on.

When completing the survey, please consider your child’s learning out of school as well as in school. This might be learning new skills such as an instrument, or a sport, or it might be completing homework and school task at home.

Please let me know if you have any queries.

Many thanks,
Mrs Whitaker
